Better Book Trailers

5 Jun

Evatopia Media is proud to unveil the book trailer for Lizzy Ford’s “Dark Summer.” Unlike many book trailers that use static images, Evatopia Media creates live action book trailers with compelling voice-overs resulting in a professional video that truly engages the consumer.

After a detailed conversation with the author, we review the book’s highlights and character traits in order to carefully develop a script
that will entice readers to download the book while also being mindful of maintaining suspense.

Our process for creating book trailers takes the worry and hassle away from the writer so that they can focus on what they do best — writing.

Surprising Move by Stephen King

20 May

Although Stephen King stood onstage with Amazon’s Jeff Bezos to promote the introduction of the Kindle 2, the best-selling author has decided not to release his newest book, “Joyland,” in digital format.

“I have no plans for a digital version,” King told the Journal. “In the meantime, let people stir their sticks and go to an actual bookstore rather than a digital one.”

As one can imagine, his announcement has been well-received by bookstores. Perhaps his move is a means of leveling the playing field after he made the opposite decision in 2000 when he released “Riding the Bullet” exclusively as an e-book.
